I never really set out to be a writer or a Bible teacher. In fact, for a long time, I didn’t think much about how deeply I needed God’s Word. I grew up in church and was very familiar with church culture, but my understanding of Christianity was pretty flawed in that I thought my works and being a good person was a supplement to the grace freely given by Jesus Christ.
My life changed drastically when I was confronted with my own brokenness. I had to wrestle with the truth that I wasn’t just a good church girl who needed a little help—I was a sinner in desperate need of a Savior. And in that wrestle, the Bible stopped being just a book of rules or comforting verses. It became the anchor that steadied me, the truth that reoriented my thinking, and the place where I began to truly know God. Honestly, the more I studied Scripture and who God reveals himself to be through Scripture, the more I grew to love the Bible.
This is why I write. This is why I teach. Not because I have all the answers but because I know the One who does. I love God, and I love His Word. My hope is that through my writing and teaching, women will see the beauty of God’s Word as not just something to know but something that transforms every part of life.
When I’m not deep in study or writing, you can probably find me gaming—I've been at it since I got my first console around age 9 or 10, and I haven’t stopped since! I also love to cook, and the older I get, the more I realize how therapeutic it is. I've recently started baking Sourdough bread, and I love that for me!
Reading is really a thing I enjoy doing, especially reading the Bible. Like, I don’t just read it for study; it’s genuinely one of my favorite things to do. And when I’m not in the Word, you’ll probably find me watching Marvel movies and debating who's the best character (it's Dr. Strange, by the way, lol!).
So, whether you’re here to study the Bible, talk theology, swap recipes, or debate Marvel storylines, I’m really glad you’re here.
